Nordic vocal jazz, swing, bebop and beyond

‘The rhythmically astute expressive Danish jazz singer in an interesting duo set on carefully selected standards.’ ****JAZZWISE

‘Christoffersen’s playing is virtuosic, but at the same time completely natural and there is an immediate clarity about his melodic lines. He simply makes the piano sing!’ ALL ABOUT JAZZ

‘Love Still Wears a Smile – Legardh’ s fourth album – is a focused, complete and honest album consisting of a selection of rare ballads, that unfolds just beautifully…’ ****GAFFA

'Cathrine Legardh, the Danish singer with the smoky, sultry voice, takes you into emotional places and makes you part of her world.’
- Edinburgh International Jazz Festival, (The Lot), UK 2008

’What a relaxing way to spend a summer evening. Cathrine Legardh's deep, clear voice was utterly soothing and most impressive when she put extra power behind it... Between pretty love ballads, it was particularly refreshing to have the band chitchatting to the audience in an unassuming way, introducing favourite songs, and jostling each other. Alongside such easy-listening, the music was nicely spiced with a few Danish and Swedish songs. It's safe to say that this charming show left its audience warm and wanting more.’
- Unlimited / Three Weeks (The Edinburgh Festivals), UK Aug. 2008

‘A Danish-Norwegian singer with relatively conventional repertoire, Legardh is nevertheless not easy to summarise. She doesn’t really sound like anybody. She has a quirky timbre (intonation too at times)...’
- Jazzwise, UK Aug. 2008

'Singing in English and her native tongue, Cathrine's beautiful, full and rich vocals sparkle regardless of the language.’
- Promengranate Theatre Sheffield, UK Oct. 2006
