Dawda Jobarteh

Dawda Jobarteh is a musician and composer who amplifies the kora and puts it through effects loops and distortion sounds. Between the cultural heritages of West Africa as well as Northern Europe, he is equally at home in both worlds. He skillfully creates a unique sound universe between folk and afro jazz from two ancient and very different musical traditions drawing while still being firmly rooted in the modern age.
