Makiko Hirabayashi is a Japanese pianist/composer, based in Denmark since 1990. She has toured internationally with her trio featuring Marilyn Mazur and Klavs Hovman, and is critically accalimed for her personal voice which incooprates elements of jazz, classical music, Far Eastern sounds and Nordic moods.

Makiko has released 8 albums under her own name, and received numerous awards throughout her career, including the honorary award from the Danish Composers’ Association in 2020.
