Veronica Mortensen & Magnus Hjorth

Veronica Mortensen is one of Denmark's most interesting vocalists. She is loved by audiences everywhere for her warmth and straightforwardness and praised by reviewers for both her live performances and her recordings. She is the composer of most of the material on her 5 albums. Since her critically acclaimed debut album from 2003, she has been in demand for concerts all over Europe and beyond. Furthermore she is a popular guest in several Big Bands, such as Aarhus Jazz Orchestra, Bohuslän Big Band, and Ernie Wilkins Almost Big Band. For her album “Catching Waves” she has received an honorary award by DPA the Danish Songwriters Guild. A number of her songs have appeared among the most played songs on the playlist of the Danish Radio channel P8 Jazz. Besides regular live performances, Veronica Mortensen is currently working on material for her next album.
