Experience the sensuality and sound of Brazil, with the internationally renowned Danish pianist, composer, and band leader, Jesper Hedegaard, who won the Troféu Caymmi Bahia prize in Salvador Brazil.

Jesper Hedegaard Sound of Brasil has played a large number of concerts in Denmark, Portugal, and Brazil now in the company of leading Danish soloist at the front: Alexander Kraglund, as well as two exceptional Brazilians in the rhythm group: Rômulo Duarte and Ale Damasceno.

A lifetime of immersion in Brazilian Music has been decisive for a pianist who chose to bet everything when, at the age of 24, he traveled to the land of Samba and Bossa Nova.

The genre is Brazilian Instrumental Music, also called Brazilian Jazz, which is based on the 60s famous Brazilian trios, is a different musical concept that both surprises and excites it Danish jazz audience. MIB has undergone significant development since the 60s and is today one of the most exciting forms of musical expression in Brazil because it contains improvisation, extended chords, and beautiful melodies.

The repertoire includes compositions by Brazil's great masters such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Arismar do Espírito Santo, Adriano Giffoni, Guilherme Vergueiro, and David Feldman as well as compositions by Jesper Hedegaard. The concert moves over rhythms such as Samba, Choro, Baião, and Samba-canção.
