Took part in the Danish Jazz Competition 2021
Metroscope is a quartet that plays modern instrumental fusion. Based in Aalborg, Denmark, the band was founded in 2018 and has since been performing all original compositions heavily influenced by fusion legends of the 70's and 80's. Their sound consists of elements from a wide array of genres with a main focus on the improvisational element of jazz. Essentially, this is combined with funky, energetic rock grooves and enchanting latin grooves.
In 2020 Metroscope released their first single and live session music video 'Alabur'. Since then the group has released two more singles in 2021 - available on all streaming services.
In 2019 the band toured in Japan to present their music to an international audience. This was a collaboration with the Tokyo-based Saxophonist Takumi Nakayama.
The group is looking forward to releasing their debut album in September 2021 and is currently planning release tours in Denmark and abroad.
